Brazil Property News: New flight path could benefit Brazil property

21st July 2008 04:33

Property in Brazil could benefit from a new flight path opening between Lisbon and Casablanca this autumn.

TAP Portugal is the largest provider of flights between Europe and Brazil will operate the route between Portugal and Morocco, which means simpler connections for those travelling to Brazil from the Arabic country.

A company statement said: "The choice of Casablanca, one of the largest and most important Moroccan cities was the result of rigorous market analysis and will enable TAP to diversity its activities and thus meet market demand and the need to find new destinations."

It will use Brazilian-made Embraer aircraft for the flights, which will begin on October 27th.

Meanwhile, it was reported by the ANBA earlier in the month the number of passengers flying on Brazilian operated flights boomed by 40 per cent during the first half of the year according to figures from the nation's Civil Aviation Agency (Anac).

Anac data revealed an increase in the number of passengers on international routes in 2008 compared to the same period in 2007 and confirmed TAM Airlines remains the market leader with some 70.59 per cent of the sector.
