Olympic cycling champion Chris Hoy has been praising his new property in Brazil, saying the nation is "booming".

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Chris said that he plans to use his Brazilian property, which is located in Tabatinga, as a winter training ground.

"Outside the competition season, it's important to go road-riding so I hope to get to Brazil about twice a year and each time spend a week on the road. The climate is perfect for winter cycling. And I'll get a chance to relax and go on the beach," he stated.

The Olympian added that he chose to buy property in Brazil as he wanted to expand his portfolio and the country has good transport links.

He also cited the good weather as a bonus.

US billionaire Sam Zell recently praised the investment potential of Brazilian property, saying it offers one of the best opportunities for would-be buyers.
