Brazil Property News: Pele opens new exhibition

Pele inaugurated a new exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of Brazil's first World Cup win this week, it has been reported.

Regarded by many as the greatest footballer to ever play the game, the Brazilian legend opened the King's Marks exhibition in Brasilia's National Museum.

Those considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear about the exhibition which may bosst the number of tourists visiting the country.

Among the objects on display is a radio an 11-year-old Pele listened to the 1950 World Cup final loss to rival Uruguay which triggered off a bold promise by the youngster.

"My father was sobbing listening to the match and I was just a kid and said 'Don't cry, I will win a World Cup (for) you,"' Pele told the Canadian Press.

His promise came true eight years later when a 17-year-old Pele helped his country to a famous 5-2 win over Sweden in Stockholm.

Pele went on to score 77 goals in 92 appearances for his country and is the only footballer to win three World Cup titles.
