Brazil Property News: Race on to get flights to Brazilian festival

The race is now on to book flights to Brazil for its legendary carnival.
Starting on February 5th and lasting for four days, the Rio Carnival 2008 is expected to draw large crowds into the country, which is good news for Brazil's ever-expanding aviation industry.
World-famous for its Samba Parade – a show which sees samba schools dance through the city's streets and compete with other Rio schools – the festival is a "riot of sound and colour" which allows visitors from all over the world to sample Brazil's carnival tradition.
Rio Carnival takes place 40 days before Easter and is celebrated as a "profane" event, which can be considered an act of farewell to the pleasures of the flesh during what is often the hottest month of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.
The festival has put Brazil on the map and the influx of tourists that it will provide in 2008 will provide a boost to the country's tourist and aviation industries.
According to the Brazilian institute of tourism, Embratur, tourism in Brazil is growing at a rate of 7.2 per cent a year.
