Brazil Property News: Scolari's Brazilian revolution gains pace

28th August 2008 07:00

Chelsea Football Club's online megastore has begun taking orders for replica kits with Brazilian star Robinho on the back further signalling the striker is on his way to London, it has been reported.

The 24-year-old declared last week he wanted to leave Spanish champions Real Madrid and the Blues' have been doing everything they can to secure the playmakers signature, according to the Daily Telegraph.

If Robinho is to join Phil Scolari's samba renaissance at Stamford Bridge it could boost Brazilian property through further booming the popularity of the Latin American nation among West Londoners, which could improve tourism.

The club's chief executive Peter Kenyon is quoted by the newspaper as saying: "We are ever confident that it will get done, but we have always said it will go to the wire."

When Brazilian coach Scolari took over at Chelsea he said he wanted to bring fellow countrymen Deco and Robinho to the club. He was successful in signing Deco for £8 million from Barcelona and now looks likely to land his second man for a fee believed to be £29 million.
