Brazil Property News: South American central bank plans in motion

29th May 2008 04:45

Brazil's president has declared plans are in motion to establish a central bank for the South American region, it has been reported.

Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva revealed - on his weekly broadcasted programme - the plan was a process that was not to be rushed, reports Brazzil Mag.

President Lula stated the central bank would help strengthen the area which would result in more "trade, jobs, profit and development" for all countries concerned.

He said that as Brazil has the largest economy in the area it has a "particular interest in achieving this goal" of regional unity.

People considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear that South America is establishing its own regional bank which could help further strengthen the financial prosperity of the region.

Meanwhile, last week South American leaders met in Brazil to sign the legal structure of the charter for the Union of South American Nations.
