Brazil Property News: Southern city is becoming a textile hub

Imbituva has been transformed into the textile hub of Brazil, it has been reported.
The city in the south Brazilian state of Parana – 165 kilometres away from state capital Curitiba – turned into a trade centre when it hosted its 24th textile fair last Friday (April 25th), according to ANBA.
Organisers of the event estimated that 40,000 people attended including exhibitors, business owners and consumers from all over the country.
People considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear this news as those attending the fair may need somewhere to stay, as would any new workers brought into work in the city's thriving textile sector.
The news provider revealed that in recent years Imbituva's textile production has boomed in size and quality, and institutions like the National Service of Industrial Education (Senai) and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service have been offering training to local businessmen and workers in the sector.
Marianne Rohrig, a fashion consultant with Senai, told the agency: "We worked to raise awareness among businessmen [and] we are eager to see the result at the fair."
In related news, it was recently announced that the country's attractive economy had lured foreign investors to its shopping centres.
The Brazilian Association of Retailers said that foreigners had been drawn in because of consistent growth in shopping centre retail and the economy's booming performance.
