Brazil Property News: Tourism industry descends on Brazil's north

A tourism-industry festival will be held in Rio Grand do Sul to increase the number of visitors to the southern state, it has been reported.

People considering buying property in Brazil's south could be interested to hear the city of Gramado will host the industry meeting where various firms will visit the region to discuss setting up operations there.

Two Arab airlines – Qatar Airways and Emirates Airline – will hold stands at the Gramado Tourism Festival, which the organisers want to lure tourism entrepreneurs and foreign governments to.

Silvia Zorzanello, one of the event's organisers, told ANBA that when people look for countries to visit as tourists they search for "interesting civilisations" with different cultures and Brazil offers Arab holidaymakers exactly that.

According to the report, almost 2,000 tourism firms will attend the event which will draw in 12,000 visitors from many different nations.

The festival is organised by Marta Rossi Silvia Zorzanello tourism fairs and is currently in its 20th year.
