‘Russia wants more trade with Brazil’
Dmitry Medvedev has stated he wants his country to enjoy greater trade with Brazil.
In news which may interest those considering buying property in Brazil, the Russian president commented it is his plan to increase deals between the two nations.
Currently, trade between the countries is worth around $5 million (£3.2 million) each year, but it is thought this will rise to $10 million by 2010, providing a boost to the Brazilian economy.
President Medvedev made the comment while in the country on a tour of South America and went on to say he believed the two nations could work together in numerous industries.
He added: "There are other sectors where we can exchange opinions, create joint ventures. That is space, aviation, the military-industrial complex and the energy sectors."
Recently, finance minister Guido Mantega commented the South American country’s economy could rise by four per cent next year, it may interest those looking at property in Brazil to learn.
