São Miguel do Gostoso is a place of remarkable beauty and tranquillity where the white sands stretch almost untouched for some 30kms, most of which is sheltered from the winds on the headland.

For such a peaceful place so recently “discovered”, São Miguel do Gostoso is blessed with wide, well ordered roads, colourfully painted “matchbox” houses draped in bougainvillea and a small yet superior selection of restaurants and intimate bars run by highly experienced teams with a passion for São Miguel do Gostoso.

São Miguel do Gostoso also boasts banks, a mobile phone shop, supermarkets, mechanics, a post office, pharmacies, petrol station and a medical centre. The introduction in 2009 of both internet and mobile phone access has been pivotal to the growth of the town and people are now arriving in their droves. Every single hotel bed for New Year 2010/2011 was booked up by January after a feature on the town on national tv, and the town simply cannot cope with demand. There is little doubt that now is the time to claim your piece of paradise and profit from the burgeoning rental demand.

Tropical D’Santo Cristo comprises 66 private bungalows and 47 contemporary apartments set  in a secure, gated, beachfront community . Starting from just £44,000 and ranging in price from size from 37m2 to an enormous 228m2, these high-end properties will be built using the expertise of the developer’s shareholders, some of the largest hotel groups in Norway.

Designed with superior vacation rental in mind, tropical gardens, shade and cooling water with a hint of Mediterranean flair, sum up the architectural style.

For rentals, the domestic market is of paramount importance, with domestic flight traffic increasing from 20 million a year in 2003 to 50 million a year in 2009. São Miguel do Gostoso simply does not have enough beds to keep up with demand, and pousadas are already commanding over £130/night in high season, so the sky is the limit. Furthermore, new European charters are being introduced to Natal this summer and São Miguel do Gostoso is set to become a major player for the overseas tourism market, particularly with the opening of the new airport in Natal in 2013 and the World Cup in 2014.

Buying off plan now and with just a 25% annual occupancy, you can expect to enjoy annual rental returns of 6-8% after costs.  Furthermore, the developer is in negotiations with several international hotel brands to manage the rental scheme from onsite administration offices.

São Miguel do Gostoso itself is experiencing very high capital appreciation but we conservatively estimate around 12-15% per year as a minimum price rise.

The project is due to start construction in November, 2010, with a 26 month build period, and a grand opening in high season 2012/13 ready for Carnival. Extra care has been taken at the resort to follow Green ethics, conserving natural resources and focusing on sustainable materials and production methods, to promote living in harmony with nature.
